The case colored receiver is a silvery brown/gray with faint traces of case colors in the protected areas. Special order Set trigger that works. Brass elevator is marked "32 Cal" and is period stamped with a former owners name "R. Thurman". Deluxe checkered walnut pistol grip stocks with heavily worn checkering numerous small dings and handling mars with a crescent steel buttplate. Included Research form states the rifle was originally shipped with a 30 inch octagon barrel which has been changed out at some time in its life. This Winchester was made in 1887.
