Winchester Model 1873 Rifle Cal, 38-40 with full octagon Bbl. 2 tone front blade sight with elevation adjustable sporting rear sight. Varnished American walnut stocks with crescent butt plate with trap for cleaning rods. 2 line Winchester Bbl address with chamber marked " 38 WCF". Mfd, 1887, 3rd Model Variation. Condition, Very good and dead honest. Blue finishes have toned to a mixture of blue and plum patina. Bore is excellent and bright with sharp rifling. Brass elevator and rod trap have attained a mustard patina. Traces of case color are still visible on lever and hammer. Mechanically excellent with stocks retaining generous amounts of varnish. Just a dead honest Winchester 1873 Rifle
