24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a good bore that has shine and visible rifling with some light scattered roughness throughout. Original sights include a German silver blade front and sporting rear. Magazine tube has been shortened with the dovetail on bottom of barrel filled. Barrel has most thinning blue remaining with sharp corners and clear markings. Receiver has a good amount of thinning original blue in the protected areas. The balance fading to a dull silver/gray at the carry point and showing slight edge wear. Traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Walnut stocks are in good condition with a few light handling mars and a crescent rifle style buttplate. Crisp functioning action. Early gun with an Antique serial number in the 28k range that was made in 1894. Should be a good shooter.
