Winchester Model 71, .348 WINCHESTER DELUXE RIFLE 99% FACTORY FINISHES, FACTORY PEEP!
Description:
Winchester Model 71 .348 Rifle
.348 WINCHESTER DELUXE RIFLE, 99% FACTORY FINISHES, FACTORY PEEP!
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1950, .348 WCF, 8lbs 5oz, Lever action rifle
Serial Number: 28146
Here we have an unmolested Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Rifle, complete with the factory sling swivels, Lyman #56 factory peep sight, 99% factory blue on the barrel, 98% factory blue on the receiver, 97% factory blue on the lever, 95% factory blue on loading gate, and 99.5% wood NOT RESTORED, near perfect factory checkering and wood finish. The factory Deluxe wood on this ’71 is nicely figured with fiddleback, much nicer than most. The Model 71 was basically a continuation of the Model 1886, with the same action, but the addition of the pistol grip butt stock and beavertail style forend. Manufactured from 1935 until 1958, the Model 71 was produced in .348 Winchester caliber only. There were few Deluxe Rifles made, and this one, serial number 28146 made in 1950, is a great example of a 71 Deluxe as it is unmolested in any way and comes complete with perfect mechanics, perfect bore and rifling, a rarely fired vintage Winchester Deluxe rifle. The Winchester .348 is a great mid-range caliber, shooting a 200 grain slug at a velocity of around 2500 fps. for plenty of brush bucking stopping power. The ammunition is still available on the internet. The trigger is crisp breaking at 4lbs. and the rifling is clean, sharp, and mirror shiny. When you look at the quality of the wood, checkering, figure compared to other guns being offered, along with high percentage of factory blue, correct sights, no pits, stains, or flaws, this is a better gun for the money. It would be hard to find a better Model 71 Deluxe with all these goodies and at this price. Thanks for looking.
