This Model 70 was made during the war or right at the end of it , it has a full pre war action and stock ser # dates it 45-46 bottom of barrel is marked 46, and is fully functioning with a excellent bore and is very accurate, the rear bridge has not been drilled , stock is factory cut for a Lyman 48 peep sight and full length and not cracked theis not cracked also, the stock has a horrible brushed on varnish job, and the floor plate is from a featherweight model 70, metal finish is factory , you could easily get a correct steel floor plate and refinish/restore the stock and have a pretty nice good shooting hard to find early 70, + ship call or text is best must send to FFL or C&R
