Description:
This is a Rare Winchester Model 70 pre-64 243 caliber rifle with a 24" barrel. Most 243 rifles come with a 22" barrel in a featherweight.  It was manufactured in 1956-57. The condition is awesome. It has some blue wear from use and age. You can see the blue wear at the muzzle and receiver. It's not bad. The Winchester walnut stock has very few handling marks. The checkering is grippy and easily seen. The finish is very good.  Comes with a Winchester steel butt plate. Action is smooth and locks up tight. Bolt numbers match the receiver.  The bore is strong with well-defined lands and grooves. Make a great shooter or collectible.  $100 shipping to lower 48.
