Hard to find from the period during and just after WW11 whcn records were not kept or retained. Ser # 69 XXX.
Pls not the following ....blue on barrel and receiver and bolt are excellent . Floor plate has numerous scratchs (easily replaced or reblued) likely the owner wore a wedding ring. Stock retains all orig finish however there are many compression marks...pls examine carefully and if serious about buying request addit pics...it may not be returned for these issues described. No rust or pitting and no cracks or splits. It has ts the desirable Stith Mount which allowed scope mounting without having to d&t if not done at the factory (some were) This one has both front and rear bridge drilled ...not sure why they used the Stith . Comes with its period correct Weaver with very fine ch and fine dot. It is possible that some or many of the compression marks might steam out.
