Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade 300 H&H Magnum

***SOLD*** Ready to hunt! Here's a great Model 70 Super Grade in one of the finest hunting calibers out there, the 300 H&H Magnum. S/N 307*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1954. This rifle wears a factory solid recoil pad which was not standard issue on the 300 H&H caliber. However, looking closely at the pad itself, along with it's perfect fit, finish, and sanding patterns immediately led me to believe it was a factory installation. To confirm this, I removed the pad and looked for any extra holes in the wood that would have coincided with the positions of a typical steel buttplate, and there were none. (see pic). I can only surmise that this magnum rifle was special ordered with a factory pad. It is also set up with a period Weaver KV 60 3x-5x scope that has been recently overhauled by the foremost leader in this particular field, so it should give many more years of trouble free service. The condition of this package is excellent throughout showing 98% Blue and very nice wood with only minor scattered scratches/dings but nothing that stands out. The bore and mechanics are great. 26" Barrel. All Super Grade components are present and correct. A super set up for the big game hunter or collector! Expedited and fully insured shipping from Alaska to your FFL is an additional $100.
