Outstanding rifle in the highly sought after and somewhat scarce .300 H&H caliber.
S/N 489785 with matching scribed bolt made in 1960.
Winchester had been using plastic buttplates such as on this rifle since about 1959, but this stock retains the same nicer quality wood and wide checkering panels of earlier guns.
Excellent original finishes showing 99% Blue and 97%+ Varnish.
26" barrel with a minty bore. Smooth and flawless mechanical functions throughout.
I have inspected the barrel channel and it remains clean with no alteration, routing, or any other issues.
I have also personally verified that the chamber remains a true .300 H&H and has never been routed to WBY nor any other such sacrilege.
A really nice example for your collection, or as a supreme hunting rifle.
