Winchester Model 70 Super Shadow Rifle in 7mm Winchester Short Mag ** Superb Deer Rifle! **

Description:
Manufactured for only 3 years between 2003 and 2006, the Winchester Model 70 Super Shadow rifle is a somewhat scarce Model 70 variation.  The Model 70 Super Shadow features a controlled-round push feed action in a factory matte-blue finish with a polished and jeweled bolt, with a 24" inch barrel with no iron sights.  The very attractive black synthetic stock on this model was similar to the earlier Winchester Classic Ultimate Shadow, but has redesigned textured gripping surfaces featuring an oval-dot pattern.  The stock has a blind magazine well, factory installed sling swivel studs, and a factory installed recoil pad that makes the length of pull 13.5" inches to the end of the pad.  This particular Super Shadow is chambered in the 7mm Winchester Short Magnum cartridge and is in excellent condition overall.  It has been in storage for 10 plus years and has maybe been fired a handful of times at most since leaving the factory.  The matte blue finish rates 98% plus with no finish wear, and only a few small handling/storage marks are visible under very close inspection.  The bore in this rifle is minty and bright.  There is no pitting, erosion, or any other imperfections visible and the rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves.  The stock is equally as nice as the rest of the rifle.  It is free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and only if you look very closely can one find a couple of small storage marks on the stock.  The action and controls on this rifle all work 100% like the day it left the factory.  The action is very smooth when worked by hand and goes into battery perfectly with no slop.  The trigger is quite good as well, breaking with a light pull with no grittiness or excessive over-travel.  The 7mm WSM cartridge this rifle is chambered in is well known for being both inherently accurate and hard-hitting.  Most commercial ammunition offerings are in 3000 plus FPS range with over 3200 foot pounds of energy, making this round an excellent big game cartridge for North America.  This rifle is definitely a do-it-all type of weapon that could be used to take anything up to moose and bears, while at the same time being a fun gun to shoot long distance with as well.  If you have been looking for a new hunting rifle for your collection this Winchester Super Shadow in 7mm WSM would be an excellent choice.
