Post 64 Winchester 70 Classic Stainless Custom 270
Description: Very Nice Winchester Model 70 Classic Stainless in standard .270 Winchester caliber. S/N G73*** with a 24" Barrel. Factory appointments include the time proven claw extractor/controlled round feed, pre 64 Model 70 style trigger assembly, and a solid orange Decelerator recoil pad. Custom features include full length glass bedding of the barrel channel and action, along with fitting of custom Williams bottom metal. Condition is close to 99% over majority, but with some scattered but noticeable finish loss along margins of barrel channel and bottom metal presumably due to previous overuns of the bedding material. There are also a few scattered spots of pin head size flaking of finish on R side of barrel. Overall a very sharp rifle with beautiful wood grain in the buttstock and some fairly expensive components added that should contribute to its being a very stable and more functional shooter. SOLD |
