Here is a rare find Winchester Model 62 gallery version .22 short mfg.1932. It has a four digit serial number, first year production. It has a triangular cartridge-shaped cutout in the top of the tube.True gallery guns will have this triangular loading port in the magazine tube. The special .22 Short-only Gallery Gun version of the Model 62 were found at nearly every carnival, county fair and shooting gallery in the United States.This one appears to have been well cared for and has avoided the wear and tear of shooting arcades.The straight-grip walnut stock and 10 grooved forearm are in excellent condition along with the bluing on the rifle.The action is tight and the bore is in very good condition, no rust or pitting. It has a gold plated butt plate, a very nice addition. It has an adjustable rear sight and a post front. A 23 inch round barrel. Matching serial numbers on receiver and lower tang. As an added bonus there are two vintage shooting gallery 15 shot speed loading tubes.The tubes are stamped WESTERN TRADEMARK MADE IN THE USA, WINCHESTER. These were used in Lincoln Park shooting gallery in Dartmouth, Mass. Gallery models and pre-WWII Model 62 are considered higher in price and highly collectible.
