Winchester Model 55, Single Shot Rifle, Cal. .22 LR, These rifles were made from 1958 to 1961

Description:
The Winchester Model 55 Single Shot Rifle was made from 1958 to 1961, with over 45,000 manufactured. The rifles were fitted with a 22 inch barrel, walnut pistol grip stock with black plastic Winchester butt-plate, open sporting sights, top loading single shot action with bottom ejection, and were chambered in .22 LR. This rifle is as described and is in very fine original condition, retaining 95% blue, with some minor corrosion spotting on the barrel, mostly toward the muzzle, and the top of the receiver. The trigge guard retains 85% of its original blue finish, with loss on the sharp edges and some spotting. The stock retains most all of its original finsih, with assorted minor handling marks. The sight are sound, no bends or cracks. The butt-plate has shrunk some, but is in very fine condition, with no cracks or chips. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly. Seldom see these unique single shot Winchester rifles. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
