WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE IN SCARCE CALIBER 405
Description: 24 inch tapered round barrel chambered in the desirable 405 WCF caliber with a very good near excellent bore. Original sights include ramped blade front and a flattop sporting rear. Barrel retains about 75% slightly dull blue. Receiver has been cleaned long ago and is a gray patina with traces of original blue in the protected areas. Stocks may have a little finish added. Complete with a rifle style buttplate. Crisp action. Comes with a nicely tooled leather scabbard and a picture of the previous owner standing next to a moose he bagged. The scabbard has a marking "GEO LAWRENCE CO" over "Portland OR" Also some numbers "3", "24" and "26". Good color on the leather.
