WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 TAKE DOWN RIFLE IN A RARE WINCHESTER MARKED LEATHER CASE

Description:

On the hinge of the case it is marked "Winchester Repeating Arms Company New York". On the leather strap is marked "94" and "26" which I assume is the barrel length. It also has the initials "A.S.R." on the right side. These cases are pretty rare and are fragile as the leather deteriorates. Features a 30 WCF caliber 26 inch half octagon barrel with a bright shiny bore. Half mag. Smooth crisp action. Take down frame. Deluxe checkered wood with pistol grip and shotgun butt with hard rubber butt plate. Tang sight with sporting rear and combination front. Some case colors remain on hammer and lever. Barrel retains about 90% original barrel blue. Receiver has good original blue with high points turned silver. Nice looking deluxe rifle with an antique serial number. A great combination with the case!
