SHOWS DESCENT RIFLE WITH FROST IN THE GROOVES ( WILL PROBABLY CLEAN UP BETTER, VERY GOOD ORIGINAL BLUE FINISH . NICE SOLID WOOD WITH NO CRACKS . INTIALS C.V.A. CARVED ON THE STOCK NEAR THE LOWER TANG. SIGHT ARE LATER REPLACEMENTS. BARREL HAS AN EXTRA DOVERTAIL AND TWO RECEIVER SIGHT HOLES WITH FILLER SCREWS. MY GUESS IS THIS GUN ONCE HAD A JOHN W.
