Winchester 94 Eastern Carbine 30 30 (30 WCF) Beauty Made during the War yrs between 1943 and 1948

Description:
A TRUE "EASTERN CARBINE"  Model, Ser # 1,138,XXX means it was produced between 1943 and 1948 when few guns were being made for the civilian market with most going to the War efforts and also during a time when Winchester did not keep track of the production #s so that there is a blank between approx 1943 and 1948.
This gun is in truly excellent conditon with the exception of a pad added (and stocktshaved so that the LOP at the toe is factory correct but at the heel is short. The pad was a prof. job well done. Should someone want it to be 100% orig these stocks may be found on ebay and other sources and are not numbered to the gun as were Savage 99's for example  The bore is mirror, the blue is well over 90% with the only loss of blue under side of receiver from being carried; it was obviously cherished, well cared for and not carried or used much in the 70 or so yrs since it was made in New Haven
Rear site removed so that it would not interfere with the excellent Williams Peep (much improved over the factory sight) and filled with a Lyman type site blank. The Williams peep is installed in correct factory holes. Long wood model (referrig to the lenght of forend projecting forward of the front barrel band). There are no meaningful flaws to stock finish either. It still has the front site hood !
Price is a bargain for a very nice 40's Eastern!
