This a first month VERY early 2nd year pre- proof mark production 1894 in the scarce 32-40 cal. Overall gun is in very good condition. Classic cowboy style with oct. bbl crescent butt and full mag. The thinning dulling blue finish is about 65-75% Wood finish is excellent in gorgeous heavy burl – probably ordered as an ‘extra finish’. In those days it could mean 1-2 X wood as nice as seen on later deluxe models. The pictures tell the story. Special order sights from front to rear. Tang site even has a large Hadley eye cup. Rear site is a duplex fold down and the front is Globe fold down with an ivory insert Tight take down with a good snappy action. A modest amount of case color remains visible – even the buttplate. 20” bbl. Bore is good strong 8+ profile fairly bright with no pitting but minor frosting.
