Winchester Model 1892 Rifle in .32 WCF w/ Receiver Sight
Description:
Serial #465611, .32 WCF (.32-20), 24" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1908-made rifle that has retained about 90-92% of the original blue finish, with mild silvering starting to appear along the edges and projections, and some further gray fading along the underside of the receiver. The lever has muted, but still visible original color case-hardening, and further color case-hardening still remains on the sides of the hammer. The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine condition with only minor handling marks scattered about the original varnish. Smooth gray freckling is present on the crescent steel buttplate. The rifle is fitted with a sporting front blade, rear dovetail blank, and a Lyman 56 receiver sight mounted on the left side of the frame. The action functions flawlessly. This is a splendid example of a Model 1892 rifle, in a terrific chambering, and would make a superb addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
