Serial #00044ZM92A, .44 Rem Mag, 20 inch round barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Winchester Model 1892 Grade 1 Short Rifle manufactured in Japan by Miroku for Winchester from 1999-2000. The gun is in excellent plus condition and does not appear to have been used since leaving the factory. The high polish blued barrel, full length magazine tube, forend cap, lever and crescent butt plate have virtually all, 99% plus original finish with very minor handling marks. The walnut straight stock and forearm are likewise excellent with only minimal handling wear with some tiny bruises on the left side of the wrist likely from gun safe storage where this gun has spent most of its life. It is sighted with a buckhorn rear and brass bead front sights and is equipped with the tang safety. These faithful remakes combine the precision of fine Japanese craftsmanship with the original Winchester design for an excellent modern rifle. It comes in the original cardboard box that is numbered to the gun with the original paper work and instruction manual. FFL
