26 inch octagon barrel chambered in the desirable 45-90 WCF caliber. Excellent bore that is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Lyman beaded front sight and buckhorn sporting rear. Full length magazine. Retains 60% overall original blue finish mixing to a smooth brown patina with a scattered handling marks and a few freckles with light pitting. The casehardened hammer and lever retains 30% of the original case color with balance faded to a smooth gray patina. The straight grip stock accents rather pronounced tiger striping on both sides running just about end to end on otherwise fairly straight grain walnut. Complete with a factory letter. This fine looking Winchester was manufactured in 1898.
