Winchester Model 1886 38-56 Rifle. Antique, Nice!

Description:
Very clean and unaltered Winchester 1886 in 38-56 caliber.
S/N 79011 made in 1893.
Strong original blue remains on the barrel and full length magazine tube. The receiver has taken on a nice and consistent gunmetal patina while retaining some faint case color.
Wood has never been sanded and retains much of its original finish with a nicer than average grain pattern and light to moderate handling marks. Original crescent buttplate.
The 26" octagon barrel has an excellent, bright bore with only traces of scattered oxidation. All mechanical functions appear to be working flawlessly as well.
Factory sights include a German silver front and Winchester sporting rear.
A very respectable '86 in all regards!
