EXCEPTIONAL DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 RIFLE IN 45-60

Description:
28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 45-60 caliber with a bright shiny near excellent bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and an "1876" marked folding ladder rear. Sharp clear barrel address and caliber marking. Barrel and full length magazine tube retain most all of their original blue. Case colored receiver has about 98% fading vivid colors. Hammer and lever also retain good amounts of case colors. Strong nitre blue on the loading gate. Dust cover, trigger and bolt also have good blue. Forend cap with factory sling swivel mounted on it and shows fading case colors. Deluxe American walnut with pistolgrip and fine checkering are in good condition with most original varnish remaining and a factory installed sling swivel. Case colored crescent buttplate with vivid colors. Set Trigger that functions. According to "The Winchester Model 1876 "Centennial" Rifle" book there were 1,480 Casehardened and only 530 Checkered Stock With Pistol Grip rifles made in the 45-60 caliber. A rare Winchester Second Model Deluxe 1876 rifle especially in this fine condition that would be the center of any gun collection! Complete with factory letter stating configuration and made in 1882.
