Winchester Model 1873 Standard Rifle, Cal. .38-40 WCF, 1888 Vintage

Description:
A Standard Winchester Model 1873 Rifle fitted with a 24 inch round barrel, full length tube magazine, adjustable for elevation buck-horn rear sight, Lyman Tang Sight, Walnut forearm, Walnut stock with steel crescent butt-plate, blue/color case-hardened finished, and chambered in .38 WCF (.38-40 WCF).  This 1888 vintage 1873 rifle is in very good condition, with the barrel retaining 30% original blue, with the rest turning a brown/grey patina.  The magazine tube retains approximately 20% original blue (mostly in the hidden areas) with the rest turning brown patina.  The receiver retains 30% original faded color case-hardened finish, with the rest having turned a brown/grey patina.  The hammer, lever, and butt-plate have lost all of their original fuinishes and have turned a dark grey patina.  The dust cover is sound and stays in place, open or closed.  The bore is shootable, with visible rifling, but it is frosty throughout.  The stock and forearm fit well and have no cracks.  The action is smooth and functions perfectly.  A decent example of its type.                                               PRICE:   $1,950              We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual Firearm,  Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
