20 inch barrel with a very good shiny bore. Full length magazine. The front sight is part of the front barrel band along with a Rocker tip up rear. Select grain walnut stocks show some nice extra figure. Features a trapdoor carbine buttplate. Equipped with sling swivels inset into carbine band and into the buttstock with a newer leather sling. Overall condition rates about fine with metal surfaces retaining about 80% of the period retailer nickel plating with scattered dark freckles and some surface scratches. The wood is solid and full fitting showing an old coat of finish added with only light handling marks. Includes a 3 piece carbine cleaning rod. Factory letter states this Carbine was received in the warehouse in January of 1876 shipped in February of 1878.
