20 inch barrel and full length magazine show 70% original blue with light handling marks and scattered light freckling. Bright and shiny bore is near excellent with just a couple small areas of very light pitting having strong rifling throughout. Sights include a Barleycorn fixed front and Rocker style tip up rear. Hammer shows a good deal of darkening case colors with the lever showing only traces. The receiver and butt plate show about 80% original nickel finish. The action is smooth and tight. Walnut stocks are clean and solid showing only light wear and handling marks with near all original finish. Nice untouched and original special order carbine manufactured in 1881.
