ORIGINAL ANTIQUE 1873 WINCHESTER .38 WCF POSSIBLE SHOW GUN
Description: Up for grabs is a unique original Winchester 1873 chambered in "38 WCF." Serial number 256055 places the manufacture date at 1888. Functionally perfect. 24-inch full round barrel. Overall condition is great considering the age. *PLEASE EXAMINE ALL PHOTOS FOR YOUR REFERENCE. Bore has some minor pitting. Stock has great integrity...no cracks or gouges. Barrel and receiver has faded to that antique looking gray/brown pantene. The origin of the inlay on the stock is unknown. Stories from the former owner suggested this was a show gun in one or more of the wild west shows around the turn of the century. We have done some pretty deep research and have not been able ot validate those claims. Cody has no additonal information regarding its history or origin either.
