Winchester Model 1917 Military Rifle In All Original Winchester As Issued Condition
Description: This rifle's barrel date is 11-18. The Winchester's serial number is 483339. It has a near minty bore with very sharp lands. This rifle shows very little use or being fired. The original bluing is fully intact. The only real wear is the magazine floor plate which has some light wear from carrying. The bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. The stock has the correct large "W" at the end of the stock by the bayonet lug front barrel band. All of the internal parts are correctly marked Winchester. The bolt is also correctly marked for Winchester.The stock and handguards are in very fine condition with no cracks or wood damage. This is a very fine condition as issued Winchester Pattern 1917 Rifle. These 1917 rifles are very hard to find in original condition. Most of them have been through the rebuild programs after the World War and were reissued in World War 2. Not many of these rifles survived in their original as issued condition. Winchester produced the lowest amount of these 1917 rifles of the three producers. This makes the Winchester the hardest to find of these 1917 rifles in original condition.
