Listing about the nicest 1895 Musket you will find, it's the second type came out in 1908, sanctioned by the NRA for shooting match's, 24" barrel, 30/03 and 30/06 only. Leather sling is stamped G&L 1918, no bayonet lug, for shooting match's only. Much of the original blue and stock finish remains, has the 1901 Krag style folding ladder sight. Comes with a full box of original excellent condition ammo. I've seen them listed for $800. alone. This rifle shoots beautiful, shoots the 30/06 cartridge, the 30/03 was the for-runner, box style magazine , loaded from top, only the Russian Musket has the guide bar for stripper clip loading .John Browning's last design for Winchester.said to be the strongest , the ugliest by others, I've always liked them , have owned a few, I'm a private collector I still have the 28" 1895 I hunted white tails with when I was 15. I'm listing it high, go find another if you think it's high. Only thing I feel bad about is the cleaning rod is missing, imagine that !
