Winchester Model 94 Custom Engraved and Embellished
Description:
SALE PENDING. We have here on consignment a very special Pre-64 Winchester Model 94 carbine, .30 WCF, custom engraved and embellished by New Mexico engraver D. Crocker (most likely Mr. Gordon Don Crocker of Los Alamos, NM). The carbine was made in 1949. The receiver, and lever are fully engraved. The hammer and barrel bands are 50% engraved. The barrel has a gold wire inlay near the receiver. The receiver has a gold inlaid Native American Eagle Dancer on the left side and a gold inlaid Spanish Coat of Arms and Zia Symbol on the right side. The engraver signed his work "D. Crocker" on the underside of the receiver below the serial number The standard grade wood is very nicely figured and is checkered at the grip and on the forearm. The checkering work was probably also done by Mr. Crocker and is very good. The carbine has a factory metal butt plate. Mr. Crocker was an amateur engraver and wood worker of very high skill and this piece is a top notch example. He passed away in 2012 so it cannot be verified. Shipping and insurance $75. Personal and bank checks and money orders OK. Credit cards accepted via the PayPal invoicing email system and add 3% to the total price.
