Winchester 255 Lever Action 22 Magnum
Description:
Winchester 255 lever action in 22 magnum. These were made 1963-1973. The receiver is aluminum according to what I have read. This was Winchester's internal hammer "economy" model to be sold cheaper than more conventional lever action rimfires. They are good rifles but never caught on. S/N 315885. Barrel is 20". Has a Simmons 3-9x32 scope that looks new.
The metal is extremely nice, about the only flaw is a tiny place ahead of the ejection port where the finish is chipped off the sharp edge. However, there are several dings in the wood. One on the lower rear of RH side of forearm. Another is on the RH side of the stock and the rest on the bottom near the butt plate- see photos for these things.
I fired it five rounds on 1-24-24 and it worked fine. It is a light, nice shooting 22 mag. Shipping will be $50.
