Winchester Model 53 this is an amazing example of the model 53 Winchester. Manufactured form 1926 - 1932 in 25-20, 32-20 , and 44-40. these fine rifles came with a 22" round barrel in both Take down and solid frame sporting the new stock configuration and serrated steel butt plate. . All Winchester options were avaaible , however rearely seen.With only 24,900 produced this makes any model 53 rare . Earliest production guns were assembled using model 92 parts. Making  Serial # 985493 is one of these transition guns, ( reference Madis book page 392 ).
