Description: Left hand Weatherby Mark V .460 Weatherby Magnum. An early West German Mark V, serial 28475 has a 26-inch barrel (tapers to .840-inch muzzle diameter, ported, ramp front sight with brass-beaded blade, adjustable rear sight). Features include a jeweled bolt body and follower, side thumb safety (serrated), checkered bolt knob (two bordered panels), engraved floor plate marked "Weatherby Super", rosewood forend tip/crossbolt plugs/grip cap, skipline checkering, scalloped cheek rest and a logo recoil pad. No box, papers or additional accessories. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 10.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Action is tight. Barrel finish is approximately 85 percent with some ghosted thinning and scattered scratches and freckling. Receiver finish is approximately 90 percent. Wood is approximately 90 percent as well, with minor crazing, a few scattered impressions and a repaired chip (forearm right at the rear sight) which appears to be original (under the surface finish).
