Description: This is one of the very best semi-auto rifles made in .17 HMR, the Volquartsen Classic. This stainless steel Volquartsen Classic is in excellent condition inside and out and has been fired very little by the original owner. This rifle was designed to be the most accurate and reliable .17 HMR rifle made at any cost and Volquartsen succeeded. This semi-auto repeater features stainless steel and aluminum alloy construction, an integral optics rail on the receiver, a match-grade adjustable trigger, a 20" inch stainless match-grade fluted bull barrel with an integral muzzle brake, a detachable 10-round rotary magazine from Ruger, and a Hogue AND Volquartsen-branded black rubber-overmolded stock. This particular example shows only minor handling marks and has obviously been well cared-for. The stainless steel is free from any pitting or staining. The integral optics mount is in superb condition with no marring from scope rings. All of the factory markings are crisp and clear. The bore in this Volquartsen is mirror-bright and pristine with perfect rifling and no visible imperfections. The stock is also in superb condition, free from any tears, rips, repairs, or visible wear. The textured areas look like-new and the sling swivel studs are in perfect shape. The action on this rifle is super slick and smooth, and the bolt slams home into battery when released. All of the controls are in perfect working order, and the factory trigger is as good as they get for this type of rifle, breaking like a thin glass rod with very light pressure. All of the internals are just as clean and free from wear as the exterior. This Volquartsen should function just as reliably and accurately today as the day it left the Iowa factory.
