Vintage Voere Model SAM 180 Semi-Auto .22LR Carbine w/ 4 Drums, Loader, Winder ** VERY SCARCE High-Capacity .22 Carbine **

Description:
This is a very cool and very scarce Voere Model SAM 180 .22 caliber semi auto carbine made in Austria in the 1970's and imported by Christopher & Associates in Glendale California.  Originally designed as a full-auto .22 caliber carbine that used a top-mounted 180 round drum called the AM 180 or American 180, this is one of the very few Austrian-made semi-automatic versions made called the SAM 180 (Semi-Auto American 180).  It is 100% original and in excellent condition overall; and comes complete with 4 high capacity drums and everything needed to load and fire the weapon.  The Voere SAM 180 features a semi-auto blow-back operated action, factory blued steel parts, black enameled alloy parts, an 18" inch quick change barrel, factory iron sights, a receiver mounted safety lever, a left-side mounted operating handle, and a brown polymer pistol grip stock set that mimics wood and has a quick-detach buttstock.  With the buttstock attached the overall length of the SAM 180 is 36.5" inches, with the buttstock removed the overall length is 26.5" inches.  While the gun looks like the Thompson machine gun to a large degree, the drum magazines mount flat on top of the weapon rather than below and perpendicular.  As you can see from the pictures, this SAM 180 is in beautiful shape, showing only some very minor handling marks very little finish wear of any kind with no bad spots or eyesores.  While it has been shot some, it is obvious that this Voere has not been shot much and has been well cared-for.  The action is slick and works perfectly, as do all of the controls.  We have no doubt that it will function just as well today as the day it left the factory back in the 1970's.  While the original 180rd steel drum magazine is no longer with the gun, this SAM 180 comes with (2) 165-round E&L Lexan drums, (2) 275-round Lexan drums, one ungeared winder that powers the drums, and one E&L Loading Tray that helps load the magazines faster.  This SAM 180 comes with one extended front sight installed in place of the original front sight, the original front sight, and one extra extended front sight.  The original adjustable rear peep sight is installed on top of a riser to match the extended front sight, which gives the carbine a clear sight picture with the large 275-rd drum installed.  There is also an extra rear sight riser included.  This Austrian Voere SAM 180 should not only continue to be a superb long-term investment, but will also be one of the most fun plinkers one can own outside of a full-auto.  Be prepared to answer lots of questions and get lots of attention at the shooting range while blasting thru lots of .22LR ammo!  Instruction manuals, spare parts, extra magazines, etc. can still be bought from E&L Manufacturing online.
