Thompson Center 50 Cal Hawken Flintlock W/TC Peep Sight + Tools & Stuff
Description: Serial #457602, .50 Caliber black powder, 28 inch octagonal barrel with a near excellent bore. This is a Thompson Center Hawken Flint Lock rifle that features a TC tang mounted peep sight, double set triggers, and custom brass tack inlay on the stock made in Rochester, NH. The Rendevous accented rifle comes with a real buck skin beaded scabbard, a beaded leather possibles bag that contains a priming horn, both a brass graduated powder measure along with a hand made horn measure, antler nipple brush, wrought iron nipple pick, ball starting tool, and a partial box of Hornady .490 lead balls. In excellent condition the barrel retains about 94-96% of the original blue finish with some thinning on the high edges and some mild use marks and scratches. The lock and hammer retain most of the original case color with some mild freckling, especially around the firzzen and pan and the brass furniture has a pleasant aged patina. The stock is marked with a "K" on the inside indicating it came from a pre-inlet kit from Thompson Center and has been very nicely finished and remains in excellent condition. It comes with the original brass tipped wood ramrod. A great looking set that is all ready for primitive Deer hunting season or the next Rendevous. Antique SOLD |
