The Ruger® Mini-14® Ranch Rifle Semi-Auto Rifle is a scaled down version of the US M-14 with no selective fire switch. The Ruger Mini-14 semi-automatic rifles have a solid reputation for being absolutely reliable under all conditions and have proven themselves in both law enforcement and military use worldwide. The Ranch Rifle operates with a very simple Garand-style design that uses a fixed-piston gas system where gas impinges directly upon the operating rod and a breech bolt locking system. A large extractor and fixed ejector send spent cases flying swiftly to the right of the shooter. The Ranch Rifle ejector is set to eject cases low to avoid hitting a mounted scope. No tools are required to quickly fieldstrip the rifle down to a few large parts that are not easily misplaced, and it reassembles just as quickly. This Ranch Rifle comes with a blued steel barrel and receiver, synthetic stock and ventilated hand guard. Integral scope mounts are machined into the receiver for mounting an optical sight.
