The Best and Most Complete Original Stevens Tip-Up Schuetzen-Style Target Rifle we have seen listed anywhere. This one has Matching Serial Number 16,8XX stamped on the Rear of the Bottom Tang and on the Left Side of the Breech (with the action open). The approximately 25 ¾ Inch Half-Round / Half-Octagon Barrel has a near-perfect mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling. This High-End Model has Well-Preserved and Nicely-Figured Wood on the Forend and Buttstock – which is capped off with a Two-Prong Schuetzen Buttplate. The Receiver, the Fancy (late model) Full-Loop Trigger-Guard and the Buttplate are Bright Nickel Plated. They show honest wear for age (over 120+ years) with some blemishes to the finish as seen in the photos. The Top Tang carries a Finely-Adjustable for Windage and Elevation Folding Ladder Sight with Pinhole-Dish Schuetzen-type Aperture. There is no front sight – as the front dovetail is occupied by the front (static) base for the Full-Length (approximately 30 Inches Long x ¾ Inch Diameter Steel Tube) Original Malcom Scope marked Syracuse, NY. The Original Rings/Adjustments are fully functional and the scope is in excellent optical condition with minimal to no foxing of the lenses, and a sharp, fine crosshair reticle.
