1879 Trap Door Springfield NEVER ISSUED made February 1879
Description: Mint Condition Trap Door Springfield .45-70. Was delivered to the Iowa National Guard and never issued. The gun still had manufacturing grease in the barrel when I bought it. I fired it about 10 rounds and it has been preserved in my gun safe for nearly 30 years. There are a few dings in the forearm, apparently from various storage racks at the armory. A little bit of rub mark on the barrel and on the butt plate from where it sat in a rack for over a hundred years. The bore is perfect as are the chamber, trap door and sights. All of the markings are crisp showing no signs of wear or rust. This is an antique and does not require an FFL for transfer and shipping. You won't find a better example for your collection. Price: $2,500.00 Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .45-70 Government Manufacturer: Springfield Model: 1879 Trap Door Condition: Nearly Perfect Metal Condition: Perfect Wood Condition: Rack marks Bore Condition: Perfect Contact Seller |
