1868 SPRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR RIFLE

Description:
32-1/2 inch round barrel chambered in 50-70 Govt. caliber with a dark bore that needs a good cleaning. U.S. Springfield 1863 marked on lockplate. Early 13,XXX serial range. This gun has been completely nickel plated including the bayonet. All nickel parts retain a nice aged metal patina with some flaking on the breech block. Original wood is VG+ with only a few light mars and dings. Complete with original sling swivels and original leather sling. This gun was probably made up for parades or ceremonies.
