Description:
Serial #283329, .45-70 Gov’t., 32 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some very mild freckling within the grooves towards the muzzle. The 1873-dated breech block has a mottled brown patina with some rough surface oxidation on the exterior. The walnut stock is in very good & fine condition, with some scattered small handling marks and bruises in the reapplied military oil finish, no visible cartouche, and a rack number in white paint on the left side of the butt : "27." A correct ramrod is included, and the rifle rates very good overall. Antique
