US Springfield 1898 Krag Rifle High Condition

From A nationally known Krag collector, Contributing Author and Collector. 
      A seldom seen 127 year old in NOS high condition. A fabulous,  US Springfield,  M 1898 Krag rifle. Serial 2919xx, Cal. 30-40 Krag
This Krag is excellent mechanically. All features function as they should. The metal markings are original and excellent.  The receiver has very attractive case colors.  The barrel and parts blue are in NOS color condition. The sights are the correct 1896 rear, hand guard  and front sight blade.  The bolt cocking piece is a rare 1899 experimental variation correctly used in 1899 and 1900.  The stocks do not have any cracks,  gouges or large dents, only minor handling marks. The stock finish is original. The stock hash a perfect inspectors cartouche dated 1900 and a fore proof "P" behind the trigger guard.  The rifle includes an original brass muzzle cap, a cleaning rod set and a nickel oiler located in the stock butt trap compartment.  A letter of authenticity that this krag comes with collector and author provenance. A collector grade original Krag rifle,  complete, correct  and in excellent original condition...
