We are proud to bring you this World War II Springfield Armory M1 Garand infantry rifle chambered in 30-06. This specific rifle was manufactured in October of 1942 displaying a serial number of 917811. This has been reworked most likely by Springfield Armory in 1955. The barrel has been changed and is dated 3-55 also the sights, both front and rear were updated to the T105. However the right side of the sights is marked “Wright”. The stock does appear to be an original and not refinished. It does display a lot of handling marks throughout the entire thing and a “P” marking on the grip and an Eagle with 3 stars above it in a box. The bore is bright and shinny with clean and crisp rifling. The action is tight and smooth with a clean and crisp lock up. The markings on this rifle are as follows. Bolt: D28287-Sa A10 Barrel: SA F6535448 3-55 A219A Operating Rod: D36382 6 SA Receiver: D28291-17 SA Trigger Housing: D28290-8-SA Safety: D46015-6SA Hammer: C 46008-SA.
