This item is not a converted military gun but has many top quality military parts as found through specific years of Springfield armory earlier production. One 5 rnd. magazine included. Be assured that this rifle is in excellent condition and shows evidence of very light, gentle use.
Our gauges show the throat wear as a 0 and muzzle as a .5.

TR housing/safety: SA
Falls in the serial # range for receiver finished by SA master smith Melvin Smith. Our research shows manufacture date of 1990.
Scope package: aftermarket M1A base with Weaver style Mount attached less stripper clip adapter not included. Vortex vertical Mount rings. ART IV 3x-9x scope with range finder reticle.
Cleaning kit includes cleaning rod, takedown tool and patch holder.

Short answer: The collector’s choice would be a factory built standard model M1A rifle between serial numbers 0422XX and 063000.
042201 to 063000 This is the serial number range that I refer to as the Golden Age of the M1A. The receiver design had fully matured by this time. The receivers were hand finished by the original designer and master craftsman, Melvin Smith. Springfield Armory, Inc. was awash in USGI parts during this period. Thus, factory built standard model M1A rifles in this serial number range were built with a very high USGI parts count.
Be sure that this item is legal to own in your state. We will ship to an FFL 01 dealer only. If for some reason it is not legal to own in your state there will be a deduction of 15% plus shipping charges for restocking fee. If the item shows any sign of being fired or parts removed during that time we will not issue a refund.
