Lefaucheux action single shot rifle 8 x 72R

Description:
Listed is a nice condition Lefaucheux break open action single shot rifle. Rifle is of German origin but was made for the English market. Engraving is of a simple acanthus scroll style. Round barrel is topped with a matte rib with a target style rear sight . Two dove tailed fillers in top rib probably where scope mounts had existed. Under lever is all metal. Caliber is 8 x 72R which is a full length tapered case comparable to modern 30/30 power and brass and dies can be bought from Buffalo Arms. Takes  .32 caliber  170 and 180 grain lead bullets .Bore is excellent . Back action stock has rebounding hammer. Ant. Sonderwald In Neulengbach engraved on top rib. Faded color case hardening on action and lock. Length of pull is 13 3/4" with steel butt plate. Tang mounted peep sight. Set triggers.
