This Model 78 shows no signs of having ever been fired and is in as-new condition, there very few minor handling marks most likely from being admired over the years. The octagonal 24” barrel shows 100% factory finish and has a perfect 10/10 bore. The receiver shows 100% factory finish and has screws in perfect condition. The furniture consists of a semi-beavertail forend with Schnabel tip and a straight grip stock made of nicely figured dark European walnut and bears excellent hand cut checkering, the wood to metal fit is superb. Coming just in time for the start of this year’s deer hunting season, this high condition Browning falling block rifle is ready to be christened with its first shot and is a fine addition to any collection.
