Description: Up for sale is a New Davide Pedersoli & Co. Old West 1874 Sharps. This rifle is chambered in 45-70 Govt and features a 30-inch heavy half round half octagon barrel with an old west brown finish. The stock has highly figured maple with hand rubbed oil finish. This rifle will shoot all modern ammunition from Remington to the heavy magnum Buffalo Bore loads and anything in between, other sharps style rifles are designed to shoot cast bullet only. Not the Pedersoli rifles they will handle anything. This is designed to be a fictional work of art and is fully capable of taking any North America big game. The new 1874 Sharps Old West gets the inspiration from a rifle made by Henry Slotterbeck, a gunsmith from Württemberg emigrated to the States around the 1850 who, after having worked for some years for Henry Deringer in Philadelphia, founded the Slotter & Co. The stock has brass parts for both the “Walnut” and "Maple" versions. On the right side of the butt stock there is a plate that can be personalized with some engraving of choice. The for end has wedge plates. The pistol grip cap is made of case-hardened steel.
