SHARPS MODEL 1874 SPORTING RIFLE .45-70 GOV'T 30" OLD RELIABLE

Description:
On consignment we have a Sharps model 1874 Sporting rifle in .45-70. This rifle features a straight grip walnut stock with standard shotgun buttplate, serial number 159856 with double triggers, 1869 patent date on receiver, and 30" octagon barrel with Bridgeport, Conn address and "Old Reliable" in octagon on top of barrel. The rifle is .45 cal, 2-1/10", which corresponds to .45-70 Government. The gun has a blade front sight with Lawrence high-notch rear sight. Bore is very good with uniform rifling and light frosting throughout.
