This is a modern reproduction of the Sharps 1874, a legendary single-shot rifle known for its accuracy and power. These are high-end, American-made replicas of the original Sharps rifles used in the Old West, buffalo hunting, and long-range shooting.
This rifle is chambered in .45-70 (.45 - 2 1/10") with a 28" octagon barrel. Very heavy, may I add. The action is a falling-block, single-shot mechanism, held by a premium walnut stock and forearm. The sight on this rifle appears to be the traditional buckhorn, while having the ability to pop up into an adjustable ladder sight for long range. From my assessment this rifle appears to be unfired, only having a couple of spots on the barrel keeping it from looking brand new. Still with the small rust speckling this rifle is in excellent condition!
