C. Sharps Boss Gun. This has a 34” long barrel chambered in 45 2 1/10. It has a Hartford collar and absolutely excellent bore. The barrel is full octagon and is an inch wide. The rear barrel mounted sight is the standard Sharps buckhorn, the front is a spirit level with interchangeable inserts, there is no insert in the sight. The tang sight is graduated from 1 to 7 with .5 in each step. There is a cheek rest and no checkering. This came from an estate and appears un-fired. I received the gun covered in dust and standard household dirt. I very casually wiped the gun off with an oily cloth for the photos. It is my no means clean and will improve with a real cleaning. With a very close inspection you can find minor marks on the wood from the heirs moving the guns around to be sold. Also there are a few specks of dark and some dry oil mostly on the pewter colored receiver. The serial number is 74-029. This is about as good as you can get without waiting for a freshly made one.
